      S&P Capital IQ Pro Release Highlights

      In this release, we added new datasets and tools on Capital IQ Pro, designed to enhance our clients' daily workflows:

      • Document Intelligence: We are excited to introduce Multi-Document ChatIQ feature, enabling clients to chat across multiple documents for efficient comparison, strategic insights, competitive positioning, and trends.

      • Earnings IQ Alerts: We launched Earnings IQ Alerts, providing users with immediate notifications on the latest financial earnings metrics and summaries, often ahead of the Earnings Call.

      • AI-Assisted Screener: We integrated AI-Assisted Screener capabilities, enabling users to efficiently screen for companies using natural language that is converted into screening criteria.

      • Enhanced Search Functionality: We enhanced search functionality, allowing users to search for filings or transcripts directly from the top search.

      • Public Information Book: We launched Public Information Book (PIB), accessible from public companies' corporate profile pages, to enhance transparency and streamline access to essential company information.

      Document Intelligence

      In this release, we are excited to introduce the Multi-Document ChatIQ feature in Document Intelligence. This feature enables clients to chat across multiple documents for various companies or industries simultaneously, making it easier to compare and gain insights into strategies, competitive positioning, trends, and more.

      Multi-Document ChatIQ in Document Intelligence

      Users can now chat on up to 20 documents from different sources, including filings, transcripts, investor presentations, news, research, etc. and across multiple companies or industries in Document Intelligence at the same time.

      Find it in the platform:

      • Navigate to the Documents tab in the top navigation to access Document Intelligence page

      • Apply any search filter or use a saved search

      • Select up to 20 documents at once

      • Click on the Open in ChatIQ button

      • A new tab will open featuring a title, three questions based on the document’s content, a list of selected documents on the right side, and a question bar for your query

      Coverage Details:

      • Filings, Transcripts, Investment Research, and News are available for chat with the following exceptions: Dow Jones & Nikkei News, Insurance Statutory and Product Filings, Scanned Documents, and Research from Contributors: Barclays, Goldman Sachs, Citi, Bank of America, S&P Global Ratings, S&P Global China Ratings.

      Alerts

      In this release, we are pleased to introduce Earnings IQ Alerts, enabling subscribers to receive notifications on the latest financial earnings metrics and summaries immediately upon public announcement, often ahead of the Earnings Call.

      Earnings Release IQ Alerts

      Users can now subscribe to Earnings IQ alerts to receive a summary of topline earnings metrics and key financial information as soon as they are publicly released via press release or SEC filing by U.S. publicly traded companies.

      Find it in the platform:

      • Navigate to News from the top navigation and select IQ Newsletters under More Insight

      • Click Subscribe on the Earnings IQ to start personalizing the alert

      • Add companies, lists, or portfolios for which you wish to receive alerts. Click Subscribe in the bottom right-hand corner to subscribe to the Earnings IQ alerts

      • To edit the Earnings IQ alerts, hover over the Earnings IQ alert card and click Edit

      • To unsubscribe from the alert, click Unsubscribe

      Coverage Details:

      • U.S. exchange-listed companies are currently supported

       

      Screener

      In this release, we integrated AI-Assisted Screener capabilities into the Companies dataset. This enhancement allows users to screen for companies more efficiently by using natural language, which will be automatically converted into screening criteria.

      AI-Assisted Screener

      Users can now screen faster using natural language to describe the set of companies they are looking for, and our AI-Assisted Screener will seamlessly convert your description into precise screening criteria. Furthermore, users have the flexibility to enable or disable AI-Assisted feature within the Screener settings, allowing for a customized experience tailored to individual preferences.

      Find it in the platform:

      • Navigate to Screener from the top navigation or from the Apps menu

      • Select Companies and click Settings

      • Enable AI-Assisted Screener by selecting Yes at the bottom of the Settings page

      • Click Save Screener Settings

      • Select a prompt from the Suggested Screens row or write your own prompt in the Add Criteria

      • Click Build Criteria 

      • Select the results from the dropdown 

      • Click Run Screen, refine your search with another query, or add criteria manually 

      Search

      In this release, we enhanced the search functionality by enabling users to search for filings or transcripts directly from the top search.

      Filings and Transcripts in Top Search

      Users can now search for filings and transcripts in the top search. Clicking on any filing or transcript will redirect them to the Document Viewer for detailed access. For earnings calls, search will surface a summary of the earnings call transcripts in the company card.

      Find it in the platform:

      • Click on the top search bar on the platform

      • Enter a query related to a transcript or filing

      • View and click on a result categorized as a Transcript or Filing

      Sustainability

      In this release, we expanded our Business Involvement Screens dataset by adding five new Oil & Gas screens in company pages, Screener and the S&P Capital IQ Pro Plugin, providing detailed visibility into a company’s involvement across the oil and gas value chain.

      New Business Involvement Screens for Oil and Gas

      Users can now access new screens that capture revenue and ownership exposure across the Oil and Gas value chain, enhancing our coverage of Energy and fossil fuel activities. These new screens complement our existing unconventional oil & gas screens and include:

      Conventional Oil & Gas (Exploration & Production): Companies extracting and producing oil and natural gas from conventional reservoirs, including offshore (<1500m) and non-AMAP Arctic areas.

      Refining: Companies refining crude oil, processing natural gas, and recovering natural gas liquids.

      Transportation & Storage: Companies involved in the transportation and storage of crude oil, natural gas, and finished products.

      Electricity Generation: Companies generating electricity from oil and gas power plants (% installed capacity or % power generated).

      Supporting Products & Services: Companies supplying essential products or services for exploration, production, refining, transportation, and storage.

      Find it in the platform:

      • Company Profile: 

        o  Search for and select a company in the top search

        o   Navigate to Sustainability >  Business Involvement Screens from the left navigation

        o   The new screen will be available under the Energy & Fossil fuels group 

      • S&P Capital IQ Pro Screener: 

        o   Navigate to Screener from the top navigation or from the Apps menu

        o   Select Companies view

        o   Under Browse Criteria on the left, expand Sustainability > Business involvement Screens > Revenue & Ownership Exposure folder to find newly added screens with underlying metrics

      • S&P Capital IQ Pro Plug-in: 

        o   In Excel, launch S&P Capital IQ Pro Plug-in and open Formula Builder

        o   Under Data Items, expand Sustainability > Business Involvement Screens > Revenue & Ownership Exposure folder to find newly added screens with underlying metrics

       Note: Access to the Business Involvement Screens dataset requires an additional subscription, please contact your account team for details.

      Custom Reports

      In this release, we launched the Public Information Book (PIB), which is directly accessible from each public company's corporate profile page. This new feature is designed to enhance transparency and streamline access to essential company information.

      Public Information Book

      The Public Information Book provides a comprehensive, downloadable compilation of publicly available data, empowering users to efficiently access critical insights and stay informed with the most current public disclosures in a streamlined process.

      It includes:

      • Company Overview and Key Corporate Information

      • Latest Earnings Call Transcripts and Regulatory Filings

      • Investment Research documents

      • Executive and Board member Summaries

      Find it in the platform:

      • Search for and select a company from the top search bar

      • Navigate to its Corporate Profile, select the Export menu on the top right

      • Click on Public Information Book, select the required pages, and click on Generate PIB

      RatingsDirect

      In this release, we enhanced U.S. Public Finance CreditStats Direct financial pages by introducing a new display option that enables users to view both Pre-Adjusted Financials and Analyst Adjusted Financials in a single view.

      U.S. Public Finance CreditStats Direct Bifurcated Financials

      U.S. Public Finance CreditStats Direct financial pages are enhanced with a new display option that allows users to view both Pre-Adjusted Financials and Analyst-Adjusted Financials in a single view. This bifurcation provides transparency regarding which data points have been modified by S&P Ratings analysts, facilitates deeper credit analysis and makes it easier to identify opportunities and risks.

      Additionally, the U.S. Public Finance templates are updated to include new data items, exclude data items no longer relevant to the S&P Ratings process, and rename others for improved consistency.

      Find it in the platform:

      • Navigate to an entity that falls within the U.S. Public Finance sector (e.g., Port of Tacoma)

      • Select Economic & Financial Data from the left-hand links under CreditStats Direct

      • Click the Template drop-down and ensure both Pre-Adjusted and Adjusted are selected

      Capital IQ Pro Academy

      We are excited to announce our partnership with Training The Street and our new Corporate Valuation certification path in Capital IQ Pro Academy. This program teaches essential valuation techniques and demonstrates how to leverage Capital IQ Pro's powerful capabilities effectively.

      Training The Street: Corporate Valuation

      Users can access the new Training The Street: Corporate Valuation courses designed to build essential valuation skills while learning to apply different content and capabilities in Capital IQ Pro throughout the valuation process, including a practical case study on The Gap. Once users successfully complete and pass all four courses, they are eligible to receive a Training The Street: Corporate Valuation certification, which they can showcase on their LinkedIn profiles.
